Innovation Stockyard

Located in St. Joseph, Missouri, Innovation Stockyard is an entrepreneurship and innovation center that helps entrepreneurs bring ideas to market. Specializing in animal science innovations, Innovation Stockyard offers a full suite of services to help entrepreneurs launch new products.

The Innovation Stockyard works one-on-one with entrepreneurs to test, develop and prepare ideas for market launch. These resources and support give innovators and their creations the best chance for success. The Innovation Stockyard staff team and board members have extensive experience in the animal health industry, including business management and scientific research. This expertise coupled with the 25,000 square foot facility on Missouri Western State University’s campus gives St. Joseph a clear advantage in the animal science space.

The center regularly provides support and assistance in the following areas:

  • Business Planning

  • Marketing

  • Grant Writing

  • Product Distribution

  • Guidance to Capital Sources

  • Extensive Network Connections

Statewide Support for Innovation

The Missouri Technology Corporation (MTC) has been a strong supporter of the Innovation Stockyard. The center has received financial support through MTC’s Missouri Building Entrepreneurial Capacity (MOBEC) program, which allows Innovation Stockyard to provide critical funding to five early stage companies in northwest Missouri. Without these grant funds, Innovation Stockyard’s ability to support entrepreneurs and job creators would be diminished.
