Digital Aerolus

The aerospace startup is doubling down on their latest creation – a drone that can fly into small spaces and uses UV waves to kill germs that typical cleaning can’t.

Meet Digital Aerolus

Digital Aerolus is an autonomous technology company located in Kansas City. They design autonomous mobility systems for any vehicle. Digital Aerolus succeeds by combining AI with math from deep space navigation. Their first commercial product was a line of industrial drones for indoor use and confined spaces. These drones are designed to fly stably in areas where GPS is denied.

Digital Aerolus helps to fight the pandemic

Digital Aerolus developed the Aertos 120-UVC to disinfect spaces that are high risk for exposure to COVID-19. This new indoor drone is equipped with UVC light technology that has over a 99% disinfection rate.

The combination of an industrial, indoor drone with small but powerful UVC lights allows more organizations to use UVC disinfecting tactics quickly. The Aertos 120-UVC will provide disinfection capabilities for essential businesses such as healthcare facilities, grocery stores, airplanes and public transportation, offices, warehouses and education facilities. From waiting areas to restrooms, the Digital Aerolus drone will be able to disinfect all areas that are at high risk of exposure to the virus.

How does it work?

The Aertos 120-UVC was created specifically to combat the spread of the COVID-19. UVC disinfection is a physical process that disrupts the DNA of harmful microorganisms and destroys their ability to reproduce. COVID-19 is a new virus related to other well-characterized viruses. Recent research and protocols indicate that UVC energy is useful for COVID-19 disinfection.

The new disinfection drone will be available in May.
